The Monon Trail offers over 27 miles of connected trails that will take you north to Westfield, right through the heart of Hamilton County and south to Indianapolis, through Broad Ripple. You can walk it, bring a bike, or even rent a bike at stations along the trail. This is a great family outing, especially on a warm summer day as many stretches of the trail are tree-covered.
The Nickel Plate Express is a family-friendly train excursion in central Indiana, operating on 12 miles of track from Noblesville to northern Hamilton County and back. It boards in Forest Park, just five minutes from downtown Noblesville. The train consists of 1950s Santa Fe Railway Hi-Level passenger cars. All passenger seating is located on the upper level and guests must climb a small set of stairs to board.
